Mission accomplished!Īfter lunch we put some baits out to try and catch a Dorado for dinner and raised 3 more Sails, catching 1 of them on bait. We then raised a ‘hot’ Fish which teased perfectly and Charlie hooked right behind the boat, let the games begin! After a 20 minute fight with some amazing jumps and lots of line stripped we had Charlie’s first ever Sailfish on Fly boatside for a couple of photos before we released it. The day got off to a great start as we raised 5 Sailfish in the first hour of the day, a double where we got one Sailfish to bite the Fly but we missed it, then another double 10 minutes later, both of which would not bite the Fly. Peter has caught many Billfish on Fly in years gone by including a 450lb Marlin on Fly in the Caribbean, back in the day.
